CourtWatch….SW Atlanta, we will have to work harder to resolve the mental illness challenges that we face in our communities.

The CourtWatch Team, was busy last week on behalf of Katherine Hamilton, whom was found to be incompetent of representing herself in court and was sent to the Grady Psychiatric Ward on 10/22. I was told that Katherine has been released from Grady and is back in our community to reoffend, appall and possibly be taken advantage of believe it or not. Any thoughts and comments please share below, also The CBC wants to have an open discussion about homelessness, the addicted and mental health because this is happening and it is prevalent on our business corridor.

Xavier Williams, is a criminal burglar with four counts on his record and a penchant for reoffending in the same community and on his last break in he used a gun. Mr. Williams was sentenced to six years for violating his parole and the residents of West End. The testimonies and victim impact statements were so moving and compelling the judge asked Mr. Williams’ grandparents to visit him outside of Zone 4 once he is released and told him to never disturb the residents here again.

  1. Banishment from specific areas has been utilized by the courts when sentencing. Xavier Williams would be an excellent candidate for banishment from Zone 4 in particular or Fulton County in general.
